There is a Twilight convention coming to the U.K!
It will be running from the 27th of February to the 1st of March 2009, so there is plenty of time to plan ahead.
It's to bring together fans from all over to celebrate the books and the first movie, and some of the Twilight cast will be present and may even give book readings.

Alot of you will have probably seen the newest post on Stephenie Meyer's site. It is written by Stephenie herself, and she explains how the first draft of the book she was currently writing, Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward's point of view) was leaked on the internet. She is truly upset by it and I can't imagine how she must feel. Midnight Sun she says, is "on hold indefinitely".
I will admit, having emails come everyday, I was told about the online chapters and I did read the next two after the first chapter (the first chapter was posted on Stephenie's site already). But any die-hard fan like me would have, I think. First of all, I wanted to see if the leak was true, or if it was just some randomer writing fan-fiction. But after reading a bit, I could see that it was Stephenie's style of writing.
I do hope that Stephenie will get over this and that she knows that she still has a huge fanbase who love her and will buy Midnight Sun, even if half of it had leaked online. She has decided to post the draft online which you can read by clicking here.

I've been told about a petition which has been created to release the Twilight movie earlier in Ireland and the U.K.
They have only over 100 signatures right now, and 1000 signatures are needed.

So that's it, not even the people at the UK Stephenie Meyer site have info about it. If anyone knows anything officially about the release dates, send me an email at twilight.ireland@gmail.com .

Just a few things about the new release Nov. 21st release date for Twilight:1) I have no idea how this affects international release dates. I’m not exactly in the loop on those kinds of things. Hopefully that information will be available soon. I’ll see what I can find out…
2) I’m really, really sorry for any inconvenience the new schedule is causing people. I feel your pain. Let’s just say that my Thanksgiving plans are going through a major overhaul, too.
3) Looking on the bright side, this new release date means that Twilight will get to be on more screens–a lot more. That might mean a shorter drive for some people.

I've received a few questions about the Twilight movie release date, since it has been changed from the 12.12.08 to the 21.11.08 in the U.S.
I should have the answer regarding any changes to the release date here soon. Expect an update no later than tomorrow.

Just a few moments ago, I went on to the Twilight Lexicon Blog, as I do everyday.
It's the #1 source of Twilight news and I don't know where a huge Twi-hard such as myself would be without it.
However, when the site opened, all that was present was a rather long note from Alphie and Pel saying that the site had been hacked and that it's going to take a while to get it back to normal. I felt so sorry for them as the message was so heartfelt and full of shock that someone would do this to them.
I am truely outraged by this. Why would someone do this to people who work so hard on a site for other people? It is indecent, not too mention disrespectful and callow.
Please, leave comments on what you think.. And my thoughts go out to the great girls who run the Twilight Lexicon, hope the site and forums get back up and running soon.
Okay - I know I should have had Breaking Dawn read by the end of the day I got it.. but I've been pretty busy!
Anyhoo...all i can say after just finishing it is.. OH..MY..EDWARD! Really, I'm speechless!
